North Side High School senior Javonte Smith, who plays cornerback for the Indians, has committed to play football at the University of Tennessee.

Smith, who made his announcement on X, selected the Vols over the Arkansas Razorbacks, Missouri Tigers, and West Virginia Mountaineers.

Offensively, Smith accounted for 1,027 receiving yards.

He accounted for 15 total touchdowns, which included two kickoff returns, three interceptions (five total) he returned for touchdowns.
