On October 1, 2018, the Henderson County, Tennessee Grand Jury indicted Charles Lewis Eaves, 47 years of age, of Lexington, Tennessee, for 2 counts of Rape of Child and 3 counts of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping among other charges all of which stem from a May 22, 2018, incident.
According to a press release from Jody Pickens, District Attorney General, 26th Judicial District, on February 1, 2019, before Judge Roy B. Morgan, Jr., Eaves entered guilty pleas to all charges and was sentenced to a total effective sentence of 70 years with no parole. Additionally, he must register as a sex offender and must be under supervision for life.
“A violent offender has been removed from our community. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Department did an outstanding job of investigating and putting together a strong case which allowed for a vigorous prosecution. Our community has been made safer through their efforts by allowing for the complete removal of this Defendant from free society.”
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney General Angela Scott and was investigated by Captain Tracey Grisham of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department. The Chester County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Department is responsible for the apprehension of the Defendant.
