Nicholas Powell, a senior running back, fullback and outside linebacker at South Side High School, has been named the NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM, WNWS.COM football ‘Player of the Week,’ presented by Mann’s Wrecker and AJD Metal Designs.com.

Nicholas scored four touchdowns, and rushed for 150 plus yards for the Hawks in a 35-6 win over Liberty, Sept. 16.

Defensively, Nicholas added six tackles – one for a loss – and forced a fumble.

“I’m thankful for my team,” Nicholas said, “That was a big win last week, and I’m real proud … Go Hawks.”
