The Jackson Generals are preparing to begin their 21st season in Jackson and this year they have new broadcaster. Tyler Springs is beginning his second season with Jackson, he was assistant to Brandon Leibhaber in the 2017 season. Springs attended Rhodes College in Memphis where he got his start in sports reporting from the newspaper there. From college he’s gone on to work for Sports 56 WHBQ in Memphis, interned at with the Memphis Grizzlies, and broadcasted sports all around the Southeast!
In addition to broadcasting Generals Baseball Springs also handles all the media relations for the Ballpark at Jackson. He handles a great deal of the Generals social media and website as well: http://www.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t104
