Details are not available, but a new hotel, Home2 Suites by Hilton will be constructed at Old Medina Crossing on property between Old Medina Market and the Residence Inn by Marriott Jackson.

JHG Hospitality LLC purchased 3.22 acres from RMR Investment Company for $1,300,000.

The transaction was brokered by Eden Smith, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Now.

Home2 Suites by Hilton is described as a more affordable, all-suite extended-stay hotel featuring contemporary accommodations and customizable guest room design.

The Memphis-based hotel brand offers an affordable price point within the extended-stay segment, targeting both business and leisure travelers. Launched in January 2009, Home2 Suites by Hilton was the first new brand introduced by Hilton Worldwide in 20 years.

Home2 Suites hotels are 100 percent franchised.
