Activity on three acres of land behind the new Perkins Motor Plex on Vann Drive appears to new construction.

But according to Mike Gardner, owner of MG Construction Company, the lot is simply in the process of being cleaned, or shaped.

Two businesses near the lot opened in the last week.

Perkins Motor Plex opened Thursday, August 3, one day before FFO (Furniture Factory Outlet).
