The Jackson Municipal Regional Planning Commission has recommended approval of an apartment complex consisting of approximately 250 units in the southwest quadrant corner of Ashport Road and U.S. Highway 45 North.
The developer has the ability to build three story buildings instead of 2.5 story buildings on approximately 13.68 acres.
Ashport Partners previously requested the property be annexed and rezoned, including 5.76 acres of commercial (property) along North Highland Avenue, a 10.98 apartment side, and the balance was zoned single-family residential.
An additional 2.7 acres west of and adjacent to the current apartment site rezoned to multi-family for the total of 13.68 acres.
