JACKSON Tenn (March 9, 2015) — Jackson man arrested on multiple charges has his first court appearance.
Billy Lee Mullin Jr. faces charges of drug possession, weapons charges, reckless endangerment, and simple assault on an officer.
Sunday morning around 11:30 police received a call of shots fired in the area of Stonewall Street. Officers say while in the area they saw a subject carrying a revolver in plain view. The subject identified himself as Billy Lee Mullin Jr.
According to officers, during a search of Mullin, officers discovered what appeared to be marijuana, and cocaine. In addition to the handgun, officers say Mullin was carrying brass knuckles.
Mullin is under 21.
The officer stated Mullin assaulted him at the Criminal Justice Complex as the officer was removing his handcuffs.
Billy Lee Mullin Jr. is being held in lieu of bond at the Criminal Justice Complex.
