Morning Sports Report

CINCINNATI (AP) — Scooter Gennett hit four home runs, matching the major league record, and finished with 10 RBIs as the Cincinnati Reds routed the slumping St. Louis Cardinals 13-1 last night. Gennett became the 17th player to homer four times in one game.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have signed wide receiver MeKale McKay and have waived injured cornerback John Green. McKay, who’s 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, had been waived by the Denver Broncos last month. He spent time on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad last season after signing with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent.

NEW YORK (AP) — Louisville and Memphis, former conference opponents, headline the field of the Gotham Classic at Madison Square Garden. The former Conference USA foes will meet Dec. 16. The game at The Garden will mark the 90th time the Cardinals and Tigers will meet with Louisville holding a 53-36 advantage.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee wide receiver Josh Smith has agreed to a deal that will allow the domestic assault charge against him to be dismissed once he performs community service and pays court costs. Smith was arrested last month after fighting with a roommate. Smith’s lawyer, Keith Stewart, said yesterday that the roommate indicated he doesn’t want to pursue charges against the receiver.
