JACKSON Tenn, — ICAC Task Force officers arrested 40-year-old Bryan Turner, of Walnut, MS, Monday after he traveled from Mississippi to Jackson to have sex with a minor.
The Jackson Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was notified that Turner had been communicating with the boy in an online chat room. Investigators examined messages and determined that Turner had solicited the boy for sex and planned to meet at the Old Hickory Mall at 2021 N. Highland Avenue.
Investigators arrived at the mall and found Turner at the food court waiting for the boy. Turner was arrested and transported to the Madison County Jail.
Turner is scheduled for a video arraignment at 8 a.m. Tuesday in Jackson City Court on a charge of solicitation of aggravated statutory rape.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
