MILAN, Tenn. (Sept. 27, 2017) — A Milan man accused of having sex with a student made a court appearance on Wednesday.

22-year-old Kendall White, the Milan High School assistant football coach and teaching assistant, is charged with statutory rape by an authority figure.
Attorney Tim Crocker waived the formal reading of the charges and entered a not guilty plea on behalf of his client.
According to court records, Kendall White is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old Milan High School student in August 2017.
Kendall White is currently suspended without pay.
Judge Collins Bonds recused himself from hearing the case due to a conflict of interest. White is a school employee and Bonds is legal representation for the Milan Special School District.
Kendall White is currently free on $15,000 bond
