The business scheduled to open at 2192 Hollywood Drive is in the automotive industry, but the name of the company will be Caliber Collison, instead of ABRA Auto Body & Glass.

Caliber Collision – Lewisville, Texas – and ABRA have merged, creating a more than 1,000-shop national Management Service Organization (MSO) with a presence spanning 37 states.

A company official with Caliber Collison said an opening date has not been announced for the Hollywood Drive location.

The company is constructing an 18,000-square-foot facility on 2.69 acres between Flash Market (Citgo) and Madison Wholesale Company.

ABRA – originally an acronym for Auto Body Refinishers of America – was founded in Fridley, Minnesota, in 1984.

In 1989, the company – with home offices in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota – added its auto glass operation and became ABRA Auto Body & Glass.
