The 18th annual Morgan Leah McCarty Golf Classic will be held September 21, at Woodland Hills Golf & Country Club, 2 Club House Drive in Pinson.
Pam & Mike McCarty founded the non-profit Morgan McCarty Scholarship Fund to provide financial assistance to area youth for their college expenses.

Three Madison Academic High School students were presented $7,500 each from the Morgan McCarty Scholarship Fund for 2024.
Kristen Henning, a 2004 Madison Academic graduate, who was crowned Miss Tennessee Teen Volunteer, plans to major in Political Science at the University of Tennessee Martin.
Braden Nye, a 2023 Madison Academic graduate, is majoring in accounting at the University of Auburn Montgomery, where he is also a member of the soccer team.
Tamera Harden, a 2024 Madison Academic graduate, is a student at the University of Tennessee Martin and plans to major in Political Science.
Brilee Davis, a University School of Jackson graduate, received a $1,000 scholarship during festivities at the Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame. She is attending the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
This year’s scholarship total is $22,500.
The Foundation has awarded $200,000 plus since inception.
