A secret Weakley County Grand Jury has indicted Martin Mayor Randy Brundige, his daughter Natalie Brundige and Martin Economic Development Director Brad Thompson. The charges pertain to the City of Martin.
27th District Attorney General Colin Johnson presented information from the Tennessee State Comptroller’s office Monday that was compelling enough to indict the three.
The Weakley County Sheriff and Jailer told Thunderbolt News Mr. Thompson was charged with one count of Theft over $10,000, one count of Theft over $60,000 and four counts of Official Misconduct.
Mayor Brundige has been charged with four counts of Theft over $60,000, one count of Theft over $10,000, four counts of Official Misconduct and Accessory after the fact.
Natalie Brundige has been indicted on one count of Theft over $60,000 and Official Misconduct.
Each of the three turned themselves into the Weakley County Detention Center in Dresden Tuesday and each bonded out on a $25,000 bond.
A representative of the Tennessee Comptroller’s office presented their findings to the secret jury Monday. The findings have not been made public at this time due to Veterans Day but are expected Wednesday.
