It is an honor to serve Madison County as a Judge. I am grateful to the Republican Caucus and the Madison County Commission for their confidence in appointing me to this position.

For 46 years, I have proudly been a Republican — even when it wasn’t popular in Madison County. I have supported our party financially, personally, and publicly. My record speaks for itself.

In the last 48 hours, I’ve heard from countless citizens who are rightfully concerned about the recent decision regarding my ballot status. I share their concern.

I will fight to protect my name, my family, and the right of Madison County voters to choose their Judge in a fair Republican primary.

Nearly 100 waivers have been granted across Tennessee — including to judicial
appointees appointed by other County Commissions and Governor Lee — and I fully
expect the same fairness will apply here.

I appreciate that State Republican Party Chairman Scott Golden voted to keep me on the ballot, and that the Madison County Republican Executive Committee voted unanimously to do the same.

I appreciate their confidence in my longstanding Republican credentials.

Therefore, I am appealing this State Republican Party Committee Panel decision and will provide them with substantial evidence confirming my long-term involvement with the Republican Party, both locally and statewide. I am requesting a waiver during this appeal process.

This election should not be decided by three individuals behind closed doors. It should be decided by the voters.

I am confident this matter will be resolved appropriately — and that justice will prevail.
