COLUMBIA, Tenn. (AP) — A Maury County grand jury has returned more than 170 burglary and theft charges against three members of the same family.
Police had arrested the suspects in May on a single count of burglarizing rental storage units in Mount Pleasant.
The Daily Herald in Columbia reported the charges handed up by the grand jury on Thursday charge 39-year-old David Russell Cook; his 31-year-old estranged wife, Brittney Ann Cook; and David Cook's son, 21-year-old David Jolee Cook, with stealing from storage units across the county.
All three remain in jail after 16 units were burglarized in Mount Pleasant and the suspects were arrested on May 13.
Jail records did not show whether they had attorneys.
