From the Jackson Police Department –

On Nov. 27, 2023 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department were dispatched to 168 Summar Drive for a welfare check on Katazryna Legros, a 41-year-old female.

Mrs. Legos had not been seen or heard from in approximately three days and there was concern for her well-being.

When officers arrived at this residence, they observed Mrs. Legros’ deceased body lying in the back seat of a vehicle behind the residence.

Soon after arriving, officers took Michael Legros, a 49-year-old male into custody at that location.

During the investigation, it was determined that Mrs. Katazryna Legros was strangled to death by her husband, Michael Legros.

Michael Legros has been charged with First Degree Murder and was formally arraigned in Jackson City Court, today, Friday, Dec. 1, 2023.
