JACKSON Tenn (Oct. 10, 2017) – Madison County Fire Department will be participating in numerous events throughout the week.
Since Tennessee is currently ranked 6th in the nation for fire deaths, spreading the message of fire safety is of utmost importance, said MCFD Captain Don Friddle.

October 7, 2017 at 10:30am @ Birth Choice Walk for Life, West Jackson Baptist Church, Oil Well Road, Jackson TN
The Madison County Fire Department will conduct a “Sparky & Friends” puppet show on the main stage at the Walk for Life Event. Kids will be able to meet Sparky and firefighters after the show. Fire equipment will be on site for public display.

Madison County Fire Department’s Community Risk Reduction will be presented with a Community Risk Reduction Award of Excellence from the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office. Several State Representatives and County Commissioners will be on hand for the presentation along with members of Madison County’s Community Risk Reduction Team.
October 10, 2017 from 6pm-8pm, Domino’s Pizza, 169 Stonebrook Place, Jackson TN
The Madison County Fire Department and Domino’s Pizza are rewarding select customers who have properly functioning smoke alarms with FREE Domino’s pizza! When a person orders from Domino’s on October 10th from 6pm-8pm, they could be eligible to have their order delivered aboard a fire engine. If all of the smoke alarms in the home are working, the pizza is FREE. If the smoke alarms are not working, the firefighters will replace the batteries or install fully functioning alarms.
October 12, 2017 6pm-8pm, Open House & Puppet Show, 2432 Technology Center Drive, Jackson TN
The Madison County Fire Department will host an open house at the Fire Administration Building. The Department will conduct a public “Sparky & Friends” puppet show at 7pm. Guests will also get to tour the Department’s smoke house and witness a live fire training exercise put on by MCFD firefighters. Photo opportunities and fun events for the kids will be conducted all evening long.
