Madison County COVID-19 Task Force Resolution in effect until Oct. 1

Medical experts and personnel in the area serviced by the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department and West Tennessee Healthcare support the use of social distancing and face covering and masks to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Businesses and individuals are asked to –

Maintain a social distance of at least six-feet from others
Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces
Wash hands often and clean/disinfect high touch surfaces
Use face masks inside buildings or venues, except for those under the age of 2
Get vaccinated
Follow CDC guidance for isolation and quarantine if you are a close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 or if you are experiencing symtoms of COVID-19.
For employees of schools in Madison County and for students attending schools in Madison County, wear a face mask covering or mask except that a parent or guardian of a K-12 student attending a school in the Jackson-Madison County School System has a right to opt out of wearing a face mask covering or mask at school, on a school bus, or at school functions by providing written notice to JMCSS as long as Gov. Lee’s Executive Order No. 84 remains effective.

This resolution shall remain in effect until 11:59 p.m., on October 1, 2021.
