Madison County ‘2021 Cornhole’n for CASA’ – presented by TIPS – set for September 10

JACKSON, TENNESSEE – Madison County CASA is excited to bring back the Cornhole’n for CASA Cornhole Tournament presented by Tennessee Industrial Printing, Inc., at 6 p.m., Friday, September 10, at the West Tennessee Farmers’ Market.

The 4th Annual Cornhole’n for CASA presented by TIPS is a local cornhole tournament featuring food, drink, fun, and prizes worth $2,000 – all in support of Madison County CASA.

Along with many Champion and Corporate sponsor teams, the tournament also features Community Teams.

For a $100 donation, Community Teams are two person cornhole teams who will compete in the tournament and also receive a 2021 Cornhole’n for CASA t-shirt, food, and drink ticket. More Community Teams are needed to make this year’s tournament a success.

CASAs – Court Appointed Special Advocates – are volunteers who help support children in the foster system as they navigate the court system. While these services are free for children and their families, the services do not come without cost. This is why CASA hosts fundraising events like Cornhole’n for CASA each year.

“Research shows that children with CASA volunteers are half as likely to re-enter foster care, are substantially less likely to spend time in long-term foster care, are more likely to be adopted, and are more likely to have a consistent, responsible adult presence,” said Kevin Adelsberger, Board Member of Madison County CASA, “We are excited to bring back the Cornhole’n for CASA event to the community to raise funds so that we can continue to serve the children of Madison County when they need it most.”

Cornhole’n for CASA Community Teams signups are available at www.cornholeforcasa.com (August 16 is the guarantee date for t-shirts – but signups are available until September 9).

Community Teams are available for $100 each.

Madison County CASA seeks to help children who are going through the court system by providing a trained volunteer who is independent of the family and the state to advocate for that child’s best future.

The CASA program started in 1977 and began in Madison County in 1996. They depend on faithful volunteers and donors to continue to serve our community. For more information on Madison County CASA, visit www.madisoncountycasa.org.
