The death toll has reached 19, dozens are injured and about 50,000 households and businesses do not have power after a tornado ripped through Nashville and middle Tennessee, early Tuesday morning.

The deaths occurred in at least four counties, including Davidson, Putnam, Benton and Wilson, according to officials.

In Nashville and Davidson County alone, at least 45 buildings collapsed and multiple building are damaged.
