On Monday, June 30, 2025, long time local voice and public personality, Steve Bowers, was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Jackson Old Hickory Rotary Club. The Paul Harris Fellow was established in 1957 and includes recipients such as former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and Jonas Salk, the inventor of the first effective vaccine against polio.
The recognition of a Paul Harris Fellow acknowledges individuals that greatly contribute to the Rotary Foundation while meeting high professional and personal standards. This award is in appreciation and recognition of significant service, dedication. and great assistance to the Rotary Club and the wider community.
Steve has been an active member of the Jackson Old Hickory Rotary Club and served as President in 2024. After receiving this special recognition, Steve stated “I appreciate the Jackson Old Hickory Rotary Club’s decades of service and I am truly honored to be a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow award.”
