‘Legendary service …. legendary food,’ Texas Roadhouse opens on Vann Drive, Monday

The eyes of Texas Roadhouse have been on Jackson for several years, and at 4 p.m., Monday, the American chain restaurant that specializes in steaks and promotes a Western theme, opens at 1203 Vann Drive.

“Jackson Tennessee is a real nice community we’ve known about for a long time,” said Richard Obayagbona, Texas Roadhouse market partner, “We looked at several locations, several potential sites over the last five years and came close to a deal many years back, but it fell through.

“We were excited when this piece of property came available … we jumped on it … excited we were able to close the deal.”

The 7,163-square-foot Jackson restaurant – 3,770-square-feet for dining – will offer seating for 274.

“Our story is real simple,” Obayagbona said, “It’s hand-cut steaks, fall off the bone ribs, made from scratch sides, fresh baked bread, ice cold beer and legendary margaritas … that’s our story at Texas Roadhouse.

“We want you to come in, have a great time, have legendary service and enjoy our legendary food.”

Business hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Fridays; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“The great thing is, Texas Roadhouse is the penultimate steakhouse casual dining chain in America,” Obayagbona said, “We’ve won several awards for being the No. 1 casual dining chain restaurant. We are built for speed – always busy – all of our locations are very, very busy and we expect Jackson Tennessee to be busy – and we are built to handle it.”

The Jackson restaurant will employ about 200 team members and Aaron Newton is the managing partner/owner.

The property is located next to Dick’s Sporting Goods, and directly across from Hilton Garden Inn on Vann Drive.

Texas Roadhouse is based in Louisville, Kentucky, and the company’s first restaurant was founded in Clarksville, Indiana, in 1993.
