Leaders Credit Union is renovating its branch – inside and outside – at 1291 S. Highland Ave., and is targeting the middle of March for completion.

The location is one of seven in the organization – five in Jackson.

First opened in 1957, Leaders Credit Union has over 35,000 members and more than $260 million in assets.

The company’s financial services, investment brokerage and mortgage services now are extended to about 400 businesses in West Tennessee.

Leaders Credit Union first evolved when five teachers at Alexander School on North Highland Avenue were unable to acquire home loans from local banks.
