Kerri Arnold, a junior interdisciplinary studies major at the University of Tennessee at Martin from Holladay, won the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Scholarship Pageant at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, Saturday.
Arnold, Miss Scenic City – a title based in Hamilton County – was one of 36 contestants in the pageant which offered $125,000 in scholarships.
With a platform supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Arnold earned a $25,000 scholarship and will work as Gov. Bill Lee’s official representative for character education, spending the next year traveling the state to visit with schoolchildren and community members on his behalf.
