Dyersburg (Tenn.) defensive lineman Kalen Edwards (6-4, 330 pounds) has committed to Kentucky, and becomes the second four star lineman to commit to the ‘Cats in the past 24 hours.
Edwards, who joined Javeon Campbell, a defensive lineman from Western Hills High School in Frankfort, Ky., chose the Wildcats over Auburn, Louisville, Miami and Memphis following his official visit to Lexington in late June.
Edwards is rated a .8975 by the 247Sports Composite, which equates to the nation’s No. 38 defensive lineman and the No. 339 prospect overall. Last season, he recorded 47 tackles, including 12 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.
With the commitment, UK has moved up seven spots to No. 18 in the team recruiting rankings.
