General Sessions Division I Judge Hugh Harvey Jr. has been charged with Driving Under the Influence and unlawful possession of a firearm.
On Wednesday, an officer with the Tennessee Highway Patrol made the arrest and transported Harvey to the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex and booked on the charges.
After being booked in Madison County, Harvey was transported to the Chester County jail facility in Henderson where he was being held pending his initial hearing and bail being set.
When holding a prisoner is mandated and the prisoner can’t be booked and released it is the practice of law enforcement to hold high profile, law enforcement, judicial or other similar case in adjoining counties for safety and other purposes.
