From the Jackson Police Department
Jackson Police Officers are investigating a shooting that occurred at 6:33 p.m., January 21, 2025, inside Slim Chickens at 6 Channingway.
Three individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds, while one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooter was taken into custody at the location, and an investigation into the cause of the shooting is underway.
Importantly, this incident did not happen in the dining area, and no patrons inside the restaurant were involved or injured.
At this time the Jackson Police Department is not seeking additional suspects.
