From the Jackson Police Department –
On March 5, 2024, at approximately 12:57 p.m., officers from the Jackson Police Department were patrolling the North Royal Street area when they heard gunshots.
They quickly responded to the scene at the 1500 Block of North Royal and took three adults and one juvenile into custody.
The officers also recovered multiple firearms, ensuring the safety of the community.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported because of the incident.
At approximately 3:15 p.m., Tuesday, officers responded to a shooting near the intersection of Bryant Street and Webber Street.
Upon arrival, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis for treatment.
Officers quickly located a suspect who was taken into custody.
Multiple firearms were recovered from the residence where the suspect was taken into custody.
