From the Jackson Police Department –

On 11/23/2022 at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers of the Jackson Police Department responded to a report of a shooting that occurred on Old Humboldt Road near Jeremiah Drive.

During the course of the investigation it was determined that John Eric Henderson, Jr., age 29, had been shot by a citizen during a road rage incident.

Investigators recovered evidence including video that captured elements of the incident that shows this shooting to be justified as self-defense circumstances.

The results of the investigation will be forwarded to the 26th Judicial District Attorney’s office for review. No criminal charges are pending at this time.
