From the Jackson Police Department –

Jackson, TN – On March 11, 2024, at approximately 6:53 p.m., Jackson Police officers responded to a report of a crash involving a semi and a motorcycle.

When officers and emergency personnel arrived the rider of the motorcycle was determined to be deceased.

The initial investigation revealed the semi was leaving the area of Lowe’s and was making a left turn when it was struck in the rear tandem axles by the motorcycle.

Evidence collected from the scene and neighboring businesses indicate that the speed of the motorcycle was a contributing factor in the collision.

However, the investigation into this accident is ongoing.

The City of Jackson Police Department expresses its deepest sympathy to the family of the deceased.
