From the Jackson Police Department –
On September 29th at approximately 2:55 p.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department were dispatched to 3441 Ridgecrest Road, Delta Faucet, for a report of an Active Shooter. Responding officers quickly secured the scene and determined that this was not an Active Shooter incident. No shots had been fired and no one had been injured.
Upon further investigation of the incident, investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division identified the individual(s) in question and recovered a BB gun. Criminal charges are pending because the individual made threats to bystanders.
Jackson Police Chief, Julian Wiser, would like to express his sincere appreciation in the quick response from officers of the Jackson Police Department, Madison County Sheriff Office, and Tennessee Highway Patrol. “This quick response is a testament to officer’s willingness to respond to calls for service amid the danger faced in an effort of keeping citizens of this community safe,” said Chief Wiser.
