From the Jackson Police Department –
On 08/07/2020 at 3:19 p.m. officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to a stabbing at the corner of S. Fairgrounds Street and Scott Street.
Officers found a white female with a laceration to her neck. EMS responded but the female died at the scene as a result of her injuries.
Sandra Gayton has been identified as the suspect. The Jackson Police Department needs the community’s assistance in locating Gayton.
Gayton is a white female, 5’5” tall, with a slim build.
