The Jackson Police Department is pleased to announce Investigator Ashley Robertson as October’s “Employee of the Month.”

According to a press release, Investigator Robertson has been employed with the Jackson Police Department for approximately fifteen years and is currently assigned to the department’s Gang Unit.

Investigator Robertson has also worked in the department’s Street Crimes Unit.

To his peers, Investigator Robertson is described as a “HUGE” cut-up. If anyone is having a bad day, he is the perfect guy to be around.  He has an awesome personality and his humor can bring a smile to anyone’s face.  He is very approachable and is kind of like a big “teddy bear.”

Investigator Robertson is very knowledgeable about his job. He has one of the hardest work ethics at the Police Department. He is a great leader in the community and many people refer to him as “Mr. Robertson.”

A couple weeks ago, he, along with some of his fellow co-workers, was assigned to work with the U.S. Marshals. During the time period, Investigator Robertson was instrumental in the apprehension of a dangerous convicted felon. The firearm that was recovered was linked to nine different shooting scenes in the City of Jackson. This proves that Investigator Robertson is an absolute asset to the Jackson Police Department as well as a respected asset to other agencies.

Being a great street cop is not his only asset, he is a great father and husband.  In his spare time, Investigator Robertson enjoys hunting and sports.  He is a fan of the greatest football team ever, the Dallas Cowboys.
