From the Jackson Police Department –

Officers and Investigators with the Jackson Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of 30 Meadowlands Cove that resulted in the untimely death of 40 year old, Lateesha Matthews.

On December 12th at approximately 9:05 p.m., officers responded to the area of Meadowlands Cove for a call of shots fired. Responding officers located Ms. Matthews suffering from an apparent gun shot. Ms. Matthews was pronounced deceased by Emergency Medical Services.
