JACKSON Tenn — According to a school officials, on Monday morning, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office was contacted as a precaution and according to district procedure in response to non-life-threatening injuries to a Rose Hill Middle School student, school officials said in a news release.
Madison County Sheriff’s Office confirms to WNWS the student attempted to hang himself. Sheriff’s Office had no other details were available for release.
School officials said the student’s parents were contacted, and upon evaluation, the student was released to the parents and the Sheriff’s Office.
School officials said no other students were involved in the incident.
