The Jackson Madison County African American Chamber Of Commerce is accepting nominations for the Annual Jewel Awards being held February 21; nomination deadline is January 15th.
The Jackson Madison County African American Chamber (JMCAACC) will honor outstanding black business owners at its 19th annual Jewel Awards banquet featuring a concert by a nationally known singer. The awards will take place Friday, February 21, 2020, 6:30 pm at Oman Arena in Jackson.
Nominations for the 2020 Jewel Awards are being accepted now through January 15th. Nominations are open to eligible businesses in Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Gibson, Hardeman, Haywood and Henderson as well as Madison county. The deadline for nominations is January 15th.
For judging, nominees are placed into categories according to the age of the business … and are judged in that category based on information they provide to the chamber.
Award categories range from 1-5 years, 6-10 years, 11-20 years and 20+ years in business.

Again, winners will be announced at the annual Jewel Awards banquet on Friday, February 21st, 6:30 at Oman Arena in Jackson. General admission tickets range from $10 to $15. VIP dinner tickets are $75 each and a table of 8 is $600. All tickets can be ordered online at eventbrite.com/jewelawards or through the JMCAACC office.
