Jerry Reese, a native of Lake County who played high school football at Lake County and the University of Tennessee Martin, has been relieved of his duties as the general manager of the New York Giants.
Head coach Ben McAdoo was also released by the Giants, who are 2-10.
Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will be the interim head coach, while Kevin Abrams will be the Giants’ interim general manager, Giants co-owner John Mara confirmed in a news conference.
A search for Reese’s full-time replacement will begin immediately.
