(July 17, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- There was a power outage today that affected 6,000 customers in the South and Midtown areas of Jackson.
The outage began at 11AM. The outage was caused by a fire at the south substation.
Power was restored to customers by 11:20AM through re-routing power from other substations.
Though the fire was contained, the cause of the fire is unknown at the time of this writing.
