(July 18, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- Jackson Energy Authority Downtown Offices will resume their normal hours on July 18.
The customer service area and the cashiering area will be open from 8AM to 5PM. The customer drive-thru will be open from 7:30AM to 5:30PM.
The downtown JEA offices were closed Monday through Wednesday. According to a release from JEA, the cause was water damage that was caused by a leak from an ice maker line that started on the second floor.
Damage extended through the second floor conference rooms and administrative offices, and spread down into the cashiering and customer service areas.
Ted Austin, Manager of Customer Care, said, in the same release, that “It will be very obvious that the facility is still under construction but we feel it is very important to restore the downtown service to our customers as soon as possible.”
Austin also said, “Customer Service has and always will be top priority for Jackson Energy Authority.”
