Investigators with the Jackson Police Department are investigating a domestic related shooting that occurred in the area of Neff Circle.
According to a press release, at approximately 5 a.m. September 7th, officers of the Jackson Police Department responded to the area of Neff Circle for calls of a suspicious situation. Callers were advising a female was knocking on doors requesting help. Officers responding to the scene located the female who appeared to be in critical condition because of an apparent gunshot injury.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to Memphis. During the investigation, officers identified the victim’s ex-boyfriend, Quincy L. Collins age 37, as the suspect.
