From the Jackson Police Department –
Jackson Police will be charging (65-year-old) Lavardious McKinney (pictured), (22 year old) LaZachary Rhodes, and (20 year old) Kelvin Polk with First Degree Murder during the perpetration of Especially Aggravated Robbery, Especially Aggravated Robbery, and Employing a Firearm During a Dangerous Felony. McKinney will have an additional charge of Felon in Possession.
On the morning of November 2, at approximately 9 a.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to 87 Holly Street for a call of a shooting. A non-responsive victim, identified as Brian Warlick, was located and later pronounced deceased. Responding officers obtained a vehicle description of a white Chevrolet leaving the scene. Shortly thereafter, a vehicle fitting the description was stopped and two adults and a juvenile were taken into custody.
This investigation is ongoing. Jackson Police do NOT believe this was a random act of violence.
