Jackson-Madison County EMA To Hold Community Safety Awareness Programs

(January 30, 2014) Jackson, Tenn.- The Jackson-Madison County Emergency Management Agency is hosting 7 public information meetings February and March.

 

These events are Community Safety Awareness programs that will bring people together with various emergency management groups to showcase what training they offer the public. 

 

Participants include the Jackson Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Jackson-Madison County School System, and the Madison County Health Department. 

 

Some of the training options that will be discussed range from the Community Emergency Response Team to Neighborhood Watches and Storm Spotter training. 

 

The events take place every Tuesday at 6:30pm starting in February and going through the third Tuesday in March. The list of events and locations follow:

 

February 4- Northeast Middle School

February 11- Rose Hill Middle School

February 18- Southside Middle School

February 25- Northside Middle School

March 4- Denmark Elementary School

March 11- Three Way Fire Station

March 18- Medon Community Center
