The Jackson Generals, the Southern League’s Double A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, open their 20th season in Jackson at 6:05 p.m., today, against the Birmingham Barons, the Double A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.

Before the first pitch, the Generals will raise its 2016 Southern League Championship banner.

It’s also ‘Thrifty Thursday.’ General admission tickets, hot dogs, popcorn, 16-ounce beer, 24-ounce soft drinks, ice cream and fun zone wristbands are just $2!
