The Jackson Energy Authority Board of Directors approved seven resolutions during their monthly meeting at the Tennergy Center, Thursday.
Resolutions included –
The purchase of three network transformers from GHMR, Little Rock, Arkansas, based on their low bid of $125,400.
The purchase of 2,000 residential gas meters from Equipment Controls Company in the amount of $165,800, and 2,000 ITRON Encoder Receiver Transmitters from United Systems & Software of Benton, Ky., for a cost of $120,000.
Both were the lowest bids.
A contract for asphalt resurfacing work for the Iselin Street Wastewater main Rehab project. Martin Paving Company submitted the lowest bid of $61,050.
The participation in the National Cable Television Cooperative Plume Services and Distribution Agreement and the purchase of associated hardware through fiscal year 2020.
Plume Services Fees are $20,000, and $150,000 for Plume Hardware.
Establishing Board approved rates for Headend Management Services provided by the Telecommunications Division.
The selection of a firm to audit JEA’s financial statements.
Alexander Thompson Arnold, Mauldin & Jenkins Cowart, Reese, Sargent, Jackson Thornton and PricewaterhouseCoopers were five of the seven firms to respond.
Since the audit includes a review of JEA’s financial affairs, Management does not make a recommendation on the selection of an audit firm.
The supplemental to the Master Resolution pertaining to Electric System Revenue obligations, authorizing the issuance of not-to-exceed $8,000,000 of Electric System Revenue Refunding Bonds, Series 2020, for the purpose of refunding the Electric System Refunding Revenue Bonds, Series 2010 Bonds and paying certain costs of issuance of the Bonds.
