Jackson Bowling & Skating Family Fun Center donates $28,000 to 7 local nonprofits

To celebrate its 28th anniversary, the Jackson Bowling & Skating Family Fun Center, 59 Bowling Drive, presented $28,000 to seven local nonprofits, during a ceremony, Tuesday.

“What a blessing we have in Young Kim, owner of the Jackson Bowling & Skating Family Fun Center,” said Frank McMeen, “He immigrated to America from South Korea and began his one-hour photo business.

“From there he built four shopping centers and then this amazing entertainment center.”

Frank McMeen is the president of The Community Foundation of West Tennessee.

“To celebrate 28 years of success, Young gives back to help others,” Frank said, “Jackson is blessed to have people like Young Kim.”

Recipients of a check of $4,000 each were the Regional Inter-Faith Association (RIFA), The Star Center, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Boys & Girls Club, Women’s Resource and Rape Assistance Program (WRAP), All Saints Immigration Services, and Jonah Affordable Housing Organization.

Partnering with the Community Foundation of West Tennessee, this initiative aims to support and uplift local organizations that make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families in need.
