Jackson Beer Board revokes one license; approves 2 permits – 1 special occasion, 1 business

The Jackson Beer Board approved permits for a special occasion and a new business during its monthly meeting at City Hall, Tuesday.

The board also revoked the beer license for BP Jackson, Inc., 1831 U.S. Highway 45 Bypass, as the result of an underage alcohol operation conducted by Metro Narcotics.

Narendra and Nitaben Patel, owners of the convenience store, failed to appear at a Show Cause meeting, November 30.

Board members voted to credit the seven days in the 30 day suspension.

Chris Miller was approved for a Special Occasion permit for an event known as the Crime Stoppers Law Enforcement Ball for selling, storing, and serving beer at the Fairgrounds.

The event will be held January 8, 2022.

Daryl Jones and Brian Melton were approved for a business permit for The Parkstone Grille, 224 Parkstone Place, for selling, storing and serving beer off the premises where sold.
