The Jackson Beer Board issued fines totaling $7,000, revoked one beer permit and suspended one permit from area convenience stores as the result of an underage alcohol operation conducted by Metro Narcotics.
During a Show Cause meeting, the board met at the City Council Chambers at City Hall and issued the following penalties, Tuesday –
Hot Spot Market (Citgo), 1291 North Highland Avenue, was fined $2,500
Jackson AMPM, LLC (Casey Jones Mobil Market), 1929 U.S. Highway 45 Bypass, was fined $1,000
Ragan’s Fuel Mart, 412 Airways Boulevard, was fined $1,500
Northside Exxon (Highland Express), 2325 North Highland Avenue, Ferguson Brothers Inc., was fined $1,000
Old Hickory Express, Inc. (Amoco), 588 Old Hickory Boulevard, was fined $1,000
Each of the five convenience stores received a 30-day suspension, which will be suspended if the fines are paid in seven days.
Old Hickory Fuel Mart, Inc., 644 Old Hickory Boulevard, had its beer license suspended for 30 days, following its second offense in one year.
BP Jackson, Inc., 1831 U.S. Highway 45 Bypass, had its license revoked after failing to appear at the Show Cause hearing.
