Jackson Beer Board approves 1 request, fines 3, suspends 1, Wednesday

The City of Jackson Beer Permit Board approved one request for a permit, suspended one beer license and fined three additional businesses during a Show Cause Hearing at the City Council Chambers, Wednesday.

A & A Stop, 1425 South Highland Avenue, had its license suspended for 30 days for selling beer to underage informants twice.

Hollywood Market, Inc. (Valaro), 2089 Hollywood Drive, was fined $1,000 for selling to an underage – over 18, under 21 – informant.

Hollywood Market, Inc., also faces a 30-day suspension, which will be suspended if the fine is paid in a period of seven days.

Southside Express, Inc. (Valaro), 1353 South Highland Avenue, and Jackson T Stop LLC, doing business as Save N Go (BP), 2268 Hollywood Drive, were fined $500 for selling beer to an underage informant.

Both businesses face a 30-day suspension, which will be suspended if the fine is paid in a period of seven days.

Paula Kim Rundles request for a beer permit for a business known as PKR LLC DBA Cody’s, 60 Heritage Square, for selling, storing and serving beer on the premises where sold.
