Jackson Beer Board – 6 special occasion requests; 1 convenience store approved during monthly meeting

The Jackson Beer Permit Board approved six special occasion permits and one permit for a convenience store during its monthly meeting at the City Council Chambers, Tuesday.

Stanley Flowers, on behalf of Ducks Unlimited, was approved for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at an event that will be held on November 7, at Jackson Fairgrounds Park.

Amanda W. Beller, was approved for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at an event that will be held on November 8, at the STAR Center known as Boots, Bands and Bingo.

Frank T. McMeen, Jr., was approved for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at an event that will be held on November 8, at 237 Wiley Parker Road, known as the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation (Patrons Party).

Frank T. McMeen, Jr. was approved for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at an event that will be held on November 9, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, known as the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation’s 30th annual Charity Gala.

Randy S. Hall was approved for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at an event that will be held on November 15, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, known as the Gary Allen Concert.

Ashley Teague was approved for a special occasion permit to sell, store and serve beer at an event that will be held on November 21, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, known as the University School of Jackson – Preview Party.

Jonathan Joy was approved for a permit for a business known as C & J’s Management, Inc., located at 183 Roosevelt Parkway for selling, storing and distributing beer for consumption off the premises.

Ali A. Saleh applied for a permit for a business known as Bowling Convenience, Inc. located at 26 Bowling Drive, for selling, storing and distributing beer for consumption off the premises.

His application was placed on hold because he did not have the necessary technology in place to check customer’s identification.

He is scheduled to appear before the Board during its next scheduled meeting, Dec. 3.
